Rev. James D. Castleman (Pastor Jim)
Pastor Jim serves as Senior Pastor of First
Baptist Church. He has degrees from Grand Rapids Baptist College (1979) and
Northern Seminary (1982). Following seminary he spent some time in secular
businesses before coming to First Baptist in 1993.
Pastor Jim was raised in Wyandotte and has a love for the
Downriver area. He and his wife, Kim, live in Southgate, Michigan. Their
blended family includes 5 children and 7 grandchildren.
Julie Krager (Youth
Ministries)

Pastor Julie has been a member of
the First Baptist Church of Wyandotte since 1990. She is an alumni
from Roosevelt High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Youth
Ministries/Adolescent Studies from Judson University in Elgin, Illinois (2003).
In June 2004, Julie and Jonathan moved back to the Downriver area. Pastor
Julie has been working with our youth in different capacities and in May of
2005 she officially became our youth pastor.
She and her husband, Jonathan, have one child and live
in the South Rockwood, MI area.
Pastor Julie’s responsibilities include overseeing all
junior and senior high youth ministries. She also leads the Youth
Worker Team.
Walter W. Holzhueter (Ministerial Assistant)
Wally and his wife, Sue, have been members of the First
Baptist Church of Wyandotte since 1987. He was born in Lincoln Park and
lived in the Downriver area all his life. He graduated from Taylor Center
High School in 1968. He worked in a small manufacturing plant in Lincoln
Park for 20 years and attended William Tyndale Bible College. He was
ordained in Ecorse Church of God in 1986. He then graduated from Nursing
School in 1994 and worked as a Registered Nurse at Rehabilitation Institute
of Michigan in Detroit until 1996 when he started at Wyandotte Hospital on
the physical rehabilitation unit. He recently retired from Wyandotte
Hospital after 13 years.
Wally and Sue have three children and two
granddaughters and live in Wyandotte.
His responsibilities include heading up the Small Group
Ministry, home and hospital visitation and filling in at Bible Study while
the Pastor is away.
